Data licences and attribution

This scene builds a derived database from ODbL-licensed sources, so attribution and a licence notice are an obligation, not a courtesy.

Sources

• Building footprints and heights — © Overture Maps Foundation, buildings theme, released under ODbL 1.0.
• Roads, rail, marina, piers, breakwaters, bridges, coastline, land cover — © OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL 1.0. Overture's buildings theme is itself substantially derived from OSM.
• Elevation — AWS Terrain Tiles (Mapzen terrarium), which aggregates public-domain sources including USGS 3DEP and SRTM.

Derived database

The baked artefacts served under /data/ are a derived database under ODbL §4.6: redistributing them, or a modified scene built from them, carries the same attribution and share-alike obligation.

Share-alike: any database derived from these artefacts, or from the OSM and Overture data behind them, must itself be offered under ODbL 1.0 (or a compatible licence), with this attribution kept intact.
